Sublime Le Dome lucite dining or center table designed by Charles Hollis Jones. Manufactured in the 1970s for Charles Hollis by Swedlow an aviation aeronautics specialist in California. Very rare custom table made in ultra low production numbers created for Charles Hollis Jones signature collection. The concept for the large base was inspired by space capsules. The table is very heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The cylindrical base is topped with a 60 inch diameter round pane of solid lucite with a thick bull-nosed edge. The top measures 1.5 inches thick. This is one of the largest tables made by Jones. Produced for an original owner estate in Beverly Hills, CA. Dimensions: 60"w x 60"d x 29"h Circa: 20th Century, United States Materials: Lucite, Steel Condition: Good, wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully crafted with strong solid joinery and construction. Age appropriate wear with minor chips, tiny scuffs, and slight cloudiness in the base inherent to thick lucite. Overall in very good, well preserved condition.
