Very rare first edition Quaderna Console or Dining Table designed by the radical architectural firm Superstudio in 1969 Italy. This table is made by local craftsmen for Superstudio, before the collective started their collaboration with Zanotta, that started the production in 1972 in larger volumes. These early pieces are very hard to find. The Quaderna table is a iconic piece from the Radical Design Movement in the 1970s. The design is characterised by rigorous geometric shapes and is completely covered with a white laminate with a black grid pattern (Misura grid). This grid symbolizes an 'artificial landscape' or an infinite network, which is characteristic of Superstudio's conceptual and critical vision. Great piece! The table has some tiny repairs at the bottom of a leg, as visible in the last pictures. And some superficial light scratches at the top. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
