High-end and full-on luxurious dining table consisting of a glass top and a black marble base, designed in the 1970's by famous Italian architect and interior designer Carlo Scarpa for the equally famous Italian manufacturer Cattelan. The table is perfect for seating 4 people on the sides or even 6 people when placing 2 chairs at the head of the table. The glass is not attached to the base and can be changed for a bigger one should you wish to seat more people. Carlo Scarpa was a Venetion architect, whose work was inspired by the materials, landscapes and history of his hometown Venice. He was an architect as well as an artist and craftsman, which shows in his genius furniture designs. His architecture and interior design shows the changes of the times, both in history as well as seasons, and is rooted in a clear sense of material imagination. The table carries the manufacturer's mark on the bottom.
