Designed in 1963 by the influential Italian architect Carlo De Carli, the Tavolo a Dischi diningtable is an elegant marriage of function and form, combining structural innovation, expressivemateriality, and practical excellence. The round table is ingeniously constructed from 3cm-thick walnut-veneer, birch plywood discs and a tabletop in matching walnut veneer, all madefrom FSC®-certified wood and wood from other responsible sources (FSC® C176589).Varying in diameter, the discs are stacked around a concealed metal core to form an elegantcurve that supports the generous tabletop. A burnished brass-toned steel band at the baseadds material contrast while providing protection.
