Important dining room table / console, made by the french artist christian techoueyres. Signed work, of museum quality, this is a unique piece. It consists of a brass and gilt bronze structure depicting a flamboyant bird (an eagle), incorporating at its base and mid-height two large amethyst geodes set in brass. The raptor, shown with outstretched wings, rests on branches forming the base. After extensive research, no other work of this scale by the artist has been identified. His known creations are also unique pieces, but generally coffee table-sized. The structure supports a thick glass top, weighing approximately 150 kg and measuring 225×110 cm. It has two small chips, visible in the photographs. The whole thing weighs about 220kg and measures 225x110x74cm, normal dining table height.
