Four glossy circles puncture the table top indicating the cylinders supporting it and interrupt the gentile grain of the surface. The wooden top has a trim that neatly angles outward like a rolled Kayak, while the legs below are joined together with a technical yet sculptural approach reminiscent of the framework for its namesake vessel. This table easily sits eight to ten people comfortably and adds the perfect sporty element into its environment.Gisbert Pöppler studied architecture at California College of Arts and Crafts, San Francisco and Technische Universität, Berlin, graduating in 1996 with a Diplom Ingenieur. After completing his studies he spent several years working for various firms in Berlin, developing new architecture after the German re-unification. In 1999 Gisbert Pöppler founded Prinz–Pöppler, a partnership with architect Ilona Prinz – together creating office environments for start-up organizations filling the dynamic Berlin landscape. Since 2004 Gisbert Pöppler has been working independently as a full-service architectural studio, offering unconventional end-to-end design solutions for corporate and residential clients.All of their upholstery pieces are COM prices.The prices do not include any fabric.
