We are very pleased to offer an organic, modern dining table attributed to John McGuire, circa 1990s. McGuire designs are celebrated for their masterful mix of natural materials, sculptural form, and rich texture, embodying the essence of California casual with a timeless sensibility. This large octagonal dining table features bamboo poles lashed in place with McGuire’s signature rawhide bindings. A thick glass top reveals an intricate center support composed of bundled bamboo, from which horizontal bamboo members radiate outward, connecting to eight outer supports through a series of bamboo stretchers and creating a striking geometric composition. The table is in good vintage condition overall. Some of the rawhide bindings show minor loosening consistent with age, but all remain stable and purely cosmetic. The glass top shows light surface wear consistent with age and normal use, which does not detract from its clarity or overall presentation. A beautifully crafted and highly sculptural piece, ready for years of use. Please see all attached pictures.
