Vintage regency revival triple pedestal dining table dating from the mid 20th century. The table is made from stunning flame mahogany and is raised on three "gun barrel" turned columns on swept reeded sabre leg bases terminating in brass lion's paw castors. The striking flame mahogany top has fabulous crossbanded decoration around it. The table has two leaves which can be added or removed as required to suit the occasion and it can comfortably seat sixteen people. There is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome dining table which is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture collection, and a talking point with guests at meal times. The botanical name for the mahogany this item is made of is swietenia macrophylla and this type of mahogany is not subject to cites regulation.
