Joseph Savina was born in Douarnenez and settled in Tréguier, Brittany. In 1929, he founded a "Celtic Art" workshop in Tréguier (rue Saint-André) to produce furniture and objects blending Breton tradition with modernized forms. He is renowned for his talents as a cabinetmaker and sculptor, particularly for his ability to integrate Celtic motifs, interlacing, and Breton symbols into furniture with modern lines.
