Chairish

$2,283

Very rare t69 table in the 5-legged xl version designed by osvaldo borsani in collaboration with eugenio gerli at the end of the 1950s for the tecno spa company. usually the t69 table in versions a and b was produced with 4 legs with a maximum width of 140cm, in order to overcome this width the 5-legged variant was patented which in this case has an original 150cm smoked glass. since the cost difference was disproportionate to the public, given the production costs compared to the 4-legged model, very few were produced and for a short time. the table is made of solid painted aluminum with brass foil fronts with a brushed finish, it has 5 legs with an original 14mm thick round smoked glass shelf, which has 5 precisely made recesses that allow it to be positioned exactly on the base . the glass is in excellent condition, practically perfect, without scratches or chips and the base shows some small signs of aging, as shown in the photographs, given its almost 70 years. the paint in the center has been finely restored. overall it is in excellent vintage condition, restored and remains a very rare collector's item for admirers of one of the most important designers of the 20th century. product name: "t69 xl" table by osvaldo borsani and eugenio gerli for tecno spa designer: osvaldo borsani in collaboration with eugenio gerli year of design: late 1950s style: italian modernism, with influences of post-war industrial design main materials: solid painted aluminium, brass foil with brushed finish, original smoked glass distinctive design: 5-legged aluminum base with brass details and original 150cm smoked glass shelf, with precise recesses for perfect seating on the base dimensions: height 72cm - diameter 150 cm - glass thickness 14 mm typical use: dining or meeting table, used in high-end residential contexts or professional design spaces design icon: rare piece and produced in a limited edition due to high production costs current state of the design: excellent vintage condition, restored base with small signs of aging, glass in practically perfect condition this piece has an attribution mark, i am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
