Rare and very collectable example of the "Bossche school" furniture by architect Jan de Jong . Together with Dom Hans van der Laan, de Jong who started out as Dom Hans' student, stood at the beginning of the architectural movement in which it was common to design furniture and bespoke interior features specifically for a building . This table is designed according to 'het plastische getal' (plastic number) which was invented by Dom Hans van der Laan. Jan de Jong was the most forward executer of the design by Dom Hans, according to his own words de Jong was his most briliant student. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
