Art Deco living room cabinet in maple burl veneer. The cabinet features five doors, three of which are paneled and protrude from the two glass doors with metal grilles. The central door features a perforated and carved maple panel depicting a pair of women spinning, concealing seven drawers and a drop-leaf door. The base features three centrally protruding drawers and a pair of doors on either side, brass handles and escutcheons, and walnut interior. Italy, second quarter of the 20th century. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
