Solid cherry wood property furniture opening with three drawers of the same height in the lower part. Above, a fourth reveals a writing area consisting of a niche, a central drawer and two smaller ones on the sides. These four drawers are opened with later fitted keys, with original working locks and wooden entrances. At the top, two mitre-cut framed glass doors with bevelled interiors are accompanied by a bar and four original glasses. Inside we find a shelf on racks (with the possibility of adding more). In addition, this piece of furniture has a drawer at the top with notches for pulling out, hidden in its belt. On each side, there are uprights with an adjoining pilaster, with a top and bottom wooden ring. The sides have a single very clean panel. This unique piece of furniture made during the Empire or Directoire period, will delight by its three functions (chest of drawers, display cabinet, and writing desk), its small size and its warm colour. ******** Period : Early 19th century Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop.
