This display cabinet opens at the top with a double glass door featuring butterfly-wing veneer. These doors, mounted on projecting brass knobs with turned ends, are fitted with a functional authentic lock with pearl and oval escutcheons and key. Underneath, the expanded veneer drawer features a mahogany edging accented by lemon and ebony fillets. The lower part of the cabinet also opens onto a door, similarly mounted on brass pommels, and fitted with a lock with a similar keyhole. This opening is inlaid with a vase with floral composition and lemon and amaranth fillets with Greek corners. The straight uprights are in horizontal veneer. The legs are sheathed and fitted with brass sabots. The interior features a shelf on each side, with plenty of storage space at the bottom. The sides are open-book veneered with mahogany edging. The interiors are in oak. Its finesse, quality craftsmanship and compact size make this a functional, eye-catching piece of furniture. ******** Period: Late 19th century Excellent condition.
