This led to a considered approach in morphing new and traditional techniques that look through a different lens of architectural hardware, transcending commercial considerations of mass production.During his time spent in Germany and other European capitals, Ned noticed that doors and their hardware were carefully crafted objects that referenced both architecture and era, embodying different cultural rituals and the mythical symbolism of the door, such as protection of the family unit and transience.These resonant observations, along with Brutalist architecture and Italian mid-century design continue to inspire V.
