Cast Iron "Cape Cod" style Doorstop. Likely manufactured in the early 20th Century..... possibly by Albany Foundry. Similar ones are identified as "Albany Foundry No. 124". The doorstop is in the form of a 3-quarter profile, with two windows on one side of the door and one window on the other. The Cottage weighs approximately 5 1/2 pounds. This figural doorstop has been repainted by a prior owner. This theme was popular in the Victorian era to the early 1900's. Beautiful patina. The plum-reddish roof tiles and various shades of green, white and yellow for the walls and lawn are typical of this design.
