Exceptional and rare early 18th century Regency period Lyonaise commode galbée (curved). Handcrafted from select French walnut by master artisans in the region surrounding Lyon. Curved front with exquisite rocaille carvings, having four drawers, two larger below two smaller ones, and a shaped apron. Rests on short cabriole legs with sabot de biche. Beautiful gilt bronze lock work, escutcheons and handles. Warm and rich patina found throughout.
