19th century Louis Philippe commode from France. The top is made from Carrara marble, and has a routed edge. The case is made from gloriously grained burl birch. The sides are paneled and have walnut molding to accent the wood. The front of the case has two drawers over three drawers, all with walnut molded banding, and turned walnut knobs. The base of the case has simple banding and the case is raised on hand shaped feet on the front and simple feet in the back for easy placement against a wall. The graining on this piece is spectacular and will be a conversation piece in any room of the home or office in which it is placed.
