An exceptional italian late umbertino dressing cabinet crafted in solid walnut and richly figured walnut burl, retaining its original cucchi & sola ammobigliamenti torino maker's label. produced in turin during the final quarter of the nineteenth century (circa 1875–1895), this elegant cabinet exemplifies the refined cabinetmaking traditions of piedmont, distinguished by outstanding craftsmanship, balanced architectural proportions and carefully selected walnut burl veneers. the cabinet is surmounted by its original carrara marble top, featuring softly rounded corners and beautifully veined natural stone. Rising above is the original architectural mirror, framed by finely molded walnut profiles and crowned by a richly shaped pediment with turned finials, creating a harmonious vertical composition typical of high-quality italian furniture from the late umbertino period. integrated into the mirror structure are two small side drawers, originally intended for jewelry, grooming accessories and personal objects. the lower cabinet reveals an ingenious internal organization.
