Veneer chest of drawers featuring a superb landscape design, fitted with a magnificent original veined carrara white marble. This marble, with cut sides and jagged edges, follows the movements of the chest of drawers and has a fine groove around its edge. The front, also with its "Ressauts" forms, presents two large drawers decorated with a marquetry representing a country scene in mahogany and in light wood. The different types of wood bring many nuances to this landscape illustrating ruins contemplated by a couple and a man on horseback. Each of the scenes is framed with mahogany wire. Each drawer is embellished with beaded ring pulls and bronze entrances. Underneath, a low crosspiece in cut-out in its central part is decorated with a bronze with scrolls decorated with flowers and scrolls. This commode is supported by curved legs with cut sides in mahogany trimmed with three inlays of light wood filet. The front legs are enriched with a bronze fall, as well as a doe foot in the lower part. This elegant chest of drawers will invite itself in an interior where the quality of its inlays will be noticed. ******** Period: Late nineteenth Perfect condition after restoration in our workshop. dimensions: Maximum width: 107 cm Maximum depth: 50.5 cm Height: 85 cm
