A Antique Eastern Connecticut Cherrywood Chippendale Chest Of Drawers, 1770’s Probably Norwich, CT 4 lipmoulded drawers, with original brass bail hardware. Nicely shaped thumb moulded applied top. Lamb’s tongue carved and fluted columns. With nicely cyma curved Ogee bracket feet. Between the front feet is a applied gadroon carved moulding. Pine and poplar secondary woods. The gadroon carved feature, is a very distinctive characteristic trait of Eastern, CT or Norwich, CT furniture of the later half of the 18th century.
