A Very Nice Antique Cherry Chippendale Bow Front Chest, New England, 1790’s Most likely from Massachusetts or Boston, circa 1790’s 4 cockbeaded graduated drawers, dovetailed drawer construction, cherry veneer drawer fronts, with pine secondary woods. Thumb moulded top, and ogee bracket feet. Old round rosette brasses, may be original, if not very early replacements. No extra holes bored for brasses. Size: 36” wide, 23” deep, and 32” tall. Condition: Replaced feet, and refinished. Age/shrinkage related splits on the sides, likely the result of being in a hyper dry climate for a while. Use and wear dings/scuffs/marks are age/use related. The inside of the drawers are stained a dark ox blood colour. See pictures.
