Antique Early 1800s Scottish Neoclassical Mahogany Chest Of Drawers With Ebony Inlay

Chairish

$795

Hailing from Scotland, this chest of drawers has a distinguished air and graceful proportions for a piece from a region known for its well-built, heavier furniture. It's long, sweeping French bracket feet and ebony inlay banding fit within the Neoclassical style popular during the late 1700s and early 1800s. With red pine secondary wood, it is European, and the larger than standard open space between the drawers and the top is a typically Scottish practice. While this piece has some wear through its centuries of use as seen in the pictures and condition notes, it has clearly been well loved and will continue to add character to any space in which it resides. Please note the condition issues in the photos and notes. None are structural, but they are cosmetic, mostly on the right hand side. We have accounted for them in the price, so you can own a wonderful piece of history for a great bargain!
