This is an elegant antique edwardian inlaid flame mahogany dressing table, circa 1900 in date. It features inlaid satinwood banding and boxwood stringing throughout. The arched rectangular mirror with bevelled plate that sits on uprights headed by brass urn finials. The top has a breakfront back with two small drawers over a base with two frieze drawers and two half width drawers around an arched kneehole. It is raised on square tapering legs that terminate in the original brass castors. There is no mistaking its superb quality and fantastic design, which alone is certain to make this set a talking point in your home and become a treasured addition to the furniture in your bedroom. The botanical name for the mahogany this item is made of is swietenia macrophylla and this type of mahogany is not subject to cites regulation.
