pair of 19th century swedish hand painted chest of drawers circa 1890. pair swedish commodes that have been stripped back and re-painted in the gustavian taste. rectangular tops with moulded edge and canted corners, which run down the front sides of each chest, with channeled detail and applied lion mask roundels. each chest is fitted with 3 drawers, top drawer with cartouche shaped detailing on the handles and escutheon. both raised on tapered legs. minor paint fading and surface marks. 1 later replaced top and restoration to back boards. later fitted metal hardware. drawers run clean and true, both ready for everyday use in multiple rooms around the home.
