Rare modular chest of drawers designed by Simon Fussell for Kartell during the 1970s. Manufactured in glossy ABS plastic, the piece combines practical storage with a highly graphic visual identity through the alternating black and green surfaces. The vertical drawer composition and integrated wheels reflect the experimental direction explored by Italian modular furniture during the late 70s period. The stronger chromatic contrast gives this version a more radical visual presence compared to neutral variations from the same series, while maintaining the lightweight and adaptable character typical of Kartell production from the decade. This example belongs to the Kartell model 4602 series and pairs naturally with the complementary ivory and black four drawer version from the same Simon Fussell collection. Very good vintage condition. superficial scratches consistent with age and use.
