Chest of drawers from France in the Louis XVI style. This piece is made of solid wood construction, primarily mahogany. The chest has been ebonized and finished with a lustrous, hand-applied French polish of museum quality. There are five dovetailed drawers all featuring gilt brass pulls. At the center of each drawer is an escutcheon of brass that showcases a bow design. The chest is supported by four tapered legs with brass feet on the front two. This piece is in very nice antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The photos accurately depict the condition.
