We are delighted to offer for sale very rare circa 1780 continental parquetry and marquetry inlaid chest of drawers a very good looking and highly decorative chest of drawers, they are heavily inlaid on all visible sides, the work is absolutely sublime with very few losses which are a credit to the craftsmanship. The drawers are made from walnut and fruitwood hence the mixture of colours the drawers include 2 original keys, the locks are temperamental but they work, not bad considering they are the best part of 240 years old from new we have lightly restored them to include a clean wax and polish, i can have them fully restored to include replacing the couple of small pieces of timber and then a wash back and french polish to make them gallery ready.
