An elegant two-drawer rosewood commode topped with a grey Saint-Anne marble slab. The marquetry is made of rosewood veneer laid in a herringbone pattern with contrasting grain, creating a delicate geometric design. Both drawers are fitted with a gilt keyhole escutcheon and a pull handle. The commode bears the mark of an E N M\. stamp, which we can attribute to Emile Noël Malle (see photos), and his guild mark.
