An Italian wooden three drawer chest from the early 19th century. This antique chest from Italy has a rectangular-shaped top with banding about the perimeter, atop a case which houses three graduated, dove-tailed drawers, each fitted with a key-hole escutcheon at center, and having an ebonized outline. This chest is presented nicely upon four gently tapering squared legs. The wood has a wonderfully aged patina throughout. This early 19th century Italian Neoclassical chest, with clean/sophisticated lines, will be an attractive storage piece, great as a console chest in a foyer, living or bed room.
