Early 19th century walnut chest of drawers circa 1800. Good quality chest of drawers in the chippendale taste. Shaped top which echoes the rest of the serpentine shaped drawer fronts. Burr walnut with burr walnut cross banding. Brushing slide directly below the top surface and a further 4 graduating drawers with cross-banded drawer fronts, fitted with brass swan neck handles. Canted corners with good quality blind fretwork. Raised on 4 slightly splayed bracket feet. Old restorations and replaced woodwork. Later replaced handles. Expected surface marks and very minor losses to woodwork. Recently fully french polished in our workshop and ready for everyday use.
