This beautifully figured, circa the 1840s, American Classical period flame mahogany 7-drawer dresser features solid Cuban mahogany sides, front-facing mahogany frame construction, brass ring handles, and ornate escutcheons with a floral motif. The overall color has a deep, rich patina that is finished in its original shellac finish. Fluted, solid mahogany, engaged ionic columns flank each side which terminate to reeded bun feet. It was most likely made in Boston, Massachusetts due to the back having a Boston address.
