This is a superb, time-worn genuine French country commode of the period of Louis XV. This piece has all of the tell-tale signs of age, character and loads of patina to the wood and the bronze and just a fantastic original finish. The piece will show marks, stains, warpage, old repairs but is just the way you want it to be. You wouldn't want this piece any different. The piece dates to the 1780s or earlier and is French.
