The top surface is a thick slab of an unusual gray marble that has been shaped to rounded corners at the front and square at the back. Making up the body of the piece are three spacious drawers that glide easily using brass knobs; delicate escutcheons indicate the keyholes however no key is present. The drawers are of excellent proportion to offer elegant storage for clothes, linens, or other household essentials. Fluting on the corners of the case flows into turned, tapering legs lifting the case from the floor, matching the geometric silhouette of the stepped apron.
