This Louis XV-style convex chinoiserie-painted chest of drawers is decorated with a fine scroll vine inlay pattern, with mother-of-pearl inlaid leaves and flowers on the sides. This raised chest of drawers is decorated with a massive Rococo silvered bronze base supported by elegant scrolled wood feet, with acanthus leaves at the corners. Two drawers at the front are decorated with painted chinoiserie oriental scenes, and the entire drawer top is a hand-painted imitation marble top. Restored: Drawers restored and hand painted by conservation experts and with hand-painted marble top to preserve the original form and integrity of the item. Aging and scratches, dents, and wear are consistent with age and use.
