Hundert's English Oak Dresser

This unique Oak wood dresser and cabinet is inspired by my love of the Austrian artist Hundertwasser and is a wonderfully useful and beautiful piece of bedroom furniture.Hundertwasser was famous for taking unloved and unused buildings and rennovating them using natural products to create exciting and nourishing places where people wanted to be once more.I have taken that inspiration and applied it to this dresser, using Quarter Sawn English White Oak and Brown Oak to turn what is a simple rectangular silouette into a joyful and unique piece of furniture.The 7 inch deep drawers using Oak and poplar grant plenty of storage space for clothing and blankets. Although traditionally made on wooden runners, they can also be made to run on soft close runners if desired.It is oiled in the traditional way to give it a rich patina which ages beautifully over time, whilst also being very simple to maintain.This can be considered my signature piece, a celebration of natural materials and hand tool skill. This unique piece will bring joy to your room whilst also being extremely functional. The Oak used in this piece is the highest grade cut possible, and all comes from English grown Oak trees.Customisation is welcome, and all dimensions can be altered as required.
