Italian Rococo Celadon Commode

Created for The Rothschild Collection - "Joy" 2005 © - An Italian rococo commode is manufactured out of American Poplar, with a serpentine-shaped top above a pair of conforming paneled drawers with trumpet flower-cast silvered bronze drawer pulls, above a waved apron with central flur-de-lys, with shaped paneled angles, the sides richly carved with a foliate urn issuing a floral bouquet with lilies, poppies, rose, and hydrangea with trailing husk detail, on deep cabriole legs carved with stylized foliage. "Joy" simply brings joy to any room. Named after an amazing colorful woman, this piece is a colorful fantastically elegant showstopper!
