Beautiful chest of drawers with eight drawers from the Meiji period. The entire piece is adorned with stunning metal hardware. Dimensions: height 85 cm, width 120 cm, depth 44.5 cm. Original condition. Over the years, the metal and wood have developed a unique patina. On the back of this tansu, there is hand-painted Japanese calligraphy. The warm chestnut brown color of the beautifully grained wood makes this chest of drawers an original interior piece. It serves as a practical storage solution and is also lovely for displaying plants or other objects.
