A mid 19th century commode in classic Gustavian style in a wonderful deep blue finish. It has most pleasing design features including traditional three panel ribbed decoration on each of the drawer fronts, a bold dentils molding under the top a strong inverted pyramidic feet. Each drawer has a pair of brass pulls and a brass key hole escutcheon although these are decorative only as the commode drawers do not have locks. Overall a strong full size commode in excellent condition.
