This elegant French Neoclassical commode dates to the mid-20th century (circa 1940–1960) and reflects the enduring influence of Louis XVI–style design. The commode features a three-drawer configuration with stepped panel detailing and central circular medallions, each fitted with a keyhole escutcheon. The drawers are adorned with decorative metal ring pulls, offering contrast against the soft painted finish. Fluted corner pilasters and tapered, fluted legs reinforce the neoclassical architectural vocabulary, while the gently molded top provides a refined silhouette. Finished in a warm cream or off-white painted surface with subtle distressing and age patina, this piece works beautifully in traditional, French country, or transitional interiors, functioning equally well as a bedroom dresser, entryway commode, or living room storage piece.
