A distinctive g-plan e. Gomme mid-century tallboy chest of drawers, combining generous storage with elegant, space-saving proportions. believed to date from the 1950s and associated with g-plan’s chinese white furniture, the tallboy features a warm oak case surrounding seven original painted drawer fronts. Three shallow upper drawers are fitted with rounded brass knobs, while four deeper lower drawers provide substantial storage. the original handles have been carefully restored, with the lower handles refinished in black to create a refined contrast against their brass backplates. Shaped wooden legs and brass adjustable feet complete the design, while the original e. Gomme g-plan maker’s stamp remains present. the timber has been fully restored to revive its natural grain and warm colour. The original painted drawer fronts have intentionally been preserved, retaining the character and history of the piece rather than being repainted. its tall, narrow proportions make it particularly suitable for bedrooms, dressing rooms or interiors where generous storage is required without occupying excessive floor space.
