A handsome 1960s teak tallboy by stag, from their much admired cantata range. As stag themselves described it in their 1966 catalogue: ”it is the perfect range for a modern house or flat because great care has been taken to achieve the maximum amount of storage space without increasing outside dimensions” — a philosophy that feels just as relevant today. The bank of six drawers is beautifully proportioned, with sculptural solid teak handles that give the piece a distinctly considered, crafted feel. Construction is to a high standard throughout, with dovetail joints and solid sapele drawer linings that speak to the quality stag were known for during this period. All drawers run smoothly and are clean inside. The piece is in good overall condition, with only minor signs of age related wear.
