18th century painted oak scandinavian baroque revival chest of drawers circa 1790. Made from solid oak this 4 drawer commode offers generous proportions. 4 shaped drawers with ornate brass handles and key plates.  Due to the size of the chest, when it was made it was designed in 2 sections so it could be installed into smaller properties, and door ways. Standing on 4 shaped cabriole legs. Later paint which has since taken on a desirable faded appearance, later brass hardware.  Minor age splits to woodwork on top surface, but stable and ready for everyday use.
