Very nice transitional chest of drawers in mahogany from the Maison Mercier in Paris. The transitional style appeared around 1750 with straighter and more sober lines to end around 1770. Our chest of drawers is of course made at the end of the 19th century according to a model of the period. It opens with three drawers on the first row and two drawers without crosspieces under this one. The Mercier House is well known for its quality of manufacture. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
