This gorgeous Victorian Chest of drawers has excellent period features that would excentuate the home bedroom or living room setting. Circa 1890. Displaying a rich walnut patination to the rectangular chest top, that is finished with a carved lower lip. The chest front has a beautiful arrangement of two short over three large graduating drawers, with each drawer having the original striking figured matching brass drop handles to finish. The drawers have striking key holes, unfortunately there is no key present, but this does not effect the functionality of the item at all. The chest has carved side pillars that highlight the timeless Victorian craftsmanship finish. Standing proudly on a lower solid raised base. This is a handsome Victorian Chest of Drawers, that would compliment the period home setting in a plethora of rooms. Overall this chest of drawers is in great antique condition, with signs of use and wear as to be expected from an item of this age (see photographs). There are 2 small holes to the right side, and a small veneer damage to the back left corner (see photographs). There is a small crack to the top of the carved lip, but this has no structural affect (see photograph). The lower drawer can be pushed slightly deeper than anticipated (see photograph).
