The Banks, Coldstone Co. of Highpoint, N. Carolina was a renowned American luxury furniture maker operating during the 1990's. The company was known for its high-end, bench-made reproductions. A single, expert furniture artisan(vs. an assembly line), crafted an entire piece to look exactly like an antique English piece from the 1700's and 1800's. This elegant Georgian style chest of 4 drawers is solid wood with a flame-grain pattern and a polished finish. It features a carved sawtooth apron with lion paw feet, brass drop handles, and decorative keyholes. There is a working key which locks each drawer individually. The dresser was originally intended as a linen chest and/or sideboard but it would be beautiful in a foyer or any room of your home. Kindel Furniture Co. pieces are often mistaken for Banks, Coldstone Co. pieces and vice versa. Both companies created comparable, heirloom furniture of the highest quality and craftsmanship. The imprint of the company label is visible on the back of the dresser and the label itself, was placed in the top drawer for verification purposes. Approximately 36"W x 33"H x 18"D at the top and 19.25"D at the bottom.
