M18 - Dresser (52 x 100 x 144 cm). An original 1930s Italian birch burl chest of drawers, exceptionally well-preserved and crafted, part of a bedroom suite, which has survived complete with all its elements. A rare opportunity, as it marks the transition between Art Nouveau and Italian Rationalism. My family had it made in 1936 by skilled craftsmen, modeled after the Milanese Borsani style, then in fashion. The materials are exquisite, such as birch burl and bronze for the handles and locks. In particular, the vibrant natural design of the burl is enhanced by the extremely high-quality workmanship. The sober, linear style, which contrasts with the hyper-decorative style that dominated the 1920s, makes this piece still relevant and original, after almost a century of history. The furniture, despite its beauty and historical value, is also practical, thanks to the dresser's convenient drawers. A fundamental element to ennoble a bedroom or living room of our time.
