Walnut Lyre Chest with Three Drawers, 19th century, Piedmontese origin, in excellent condition, restored approximately twenty years ago. The bracket feet are decorated on the front with a carving of foliage and racemes, which is repeated on the outer frame surrounding the drawers, which in turn are decorated with an oval tableau with geometric decorations inlaid in boxwood, surrounding the keyhole. The sides are lyre-shaped, and the top features a central oval inlay depicting a chariot with horse and figures against an ebonized pearwood background. The top was replaced in the past, compared to the original, which was probably made of marble. Piedmont, first half of the 19th century.
