Vintage Danish Extendable Dining Table In Teak By Henning Kjærnulf For Sorø Stolefabrik, 1960s, Set Of 5

Chairish

$5,821

A rare mid-century Danish extending dining table from the 1960s, Model 62, designed by Henning Kjærnulf for Sorø Stolefabrik. Crafted from solid and veneered teak wood, this model is highly valued for its refined proportions, functional excellence and unmistakable Scandinavian modernist aesthetic. The table has undergone a full professional restoration, carried out with respect for the original surface, structure and colour of the wood. The solid-wood slide mechanism moves smoothly and precisely, and the original factory assembly numbers (including 133) are preserved underneath the tabletop. Model 62 includes four extension leaves, each 50 cm wide (one of them fitted with an apron). When fully extended, the construction is supported by an additional leg, ensuring exceptional stability even at its maximum length of 324 cm. All leaves fit together perfectly, with no visible gaps, and are stored separately to protect them from warping. One of the extension leaves features a small indentation of approx. 2 cm — subtle and not affecting functionality. This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
