Extendable round dining table with a tulip base, a celebrated example of Mid-Century Modern design from the 1960s and 1970s. The central structure features a flared stem, crafted from die-cast aluminum or chromed/satin metal. This design eliminates the bulk of traditional four legs. The top is composed of two wooden semicircles with clearly visible grain. The extension mechanism features a central X-shaped metal guide. By sliding the two semicircles outward, a central space is created for one or more extensions, transforming the tabletop from round to oval.
